NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police are investigating a shooting in the 1200 block of Thistle Street that left a man dead Thursday afternoon.
The call came in around 5:30 p.m.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Virginia Beach man Isaiah J. Ward, was taken to Sentara Norfolk for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Police say Ward died at the hospital.
This incident happened within a few hours of another shooting in the city, where a 17-year-old boy was also seriously injured after being shot in a parking lot. Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with that incident.
