NORFOLK, Va - Police are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night.
Around midnight, Norfolk Police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Dunkirk Avenue for a report of an attempted robbery.
When officers arrived, they found a man who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The victim told police he had been approached by three suspects who were trying to rob him. During the incident, the victim was shot, police said.
He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.
