PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Detectives are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting.
Around 12:45 p.m., the Emergency Communication Center was notified of an injured 19-year-old male, near the 3700 block of Sugar Creek Circle.
Police said the man sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body. The injury is non-life-threatening and the victim was taken to a local hospital, police said.
There is no suspect information at this time.
