NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Police have made an arrest after a man was shot on Thursday.
Around 4:25 a.m., calls came in to officials regarding a shooting that had taken place in the 900 block of Monitor Court.
Police were able to locate a victim when they arrived on scene who they say had a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by medics to a local hospital for further treatment.
37-year-old Corey Harris of Newport News has been arrested in relation to this shooting, and charged with Malicious Wounding, Maliciously Shoot/Throw into Occupied Building, Burglary, Intentional Damage, and Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony
