VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Police are investigating after a person was found injured following gunshots at the Oceanfront Monday morning.
Around 2:34 a.m., officers say they were patrolling at the Oceanfront when they heard gunshots.
Police then say they started canvassing the nearby area in the 300 block of 22nd Street. They located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the scene is still active while detectives are investigating this case. There is no suspect information available at this time.
This case remains under investigation by members of the department’s Detective Bureau.
