SUFFOLK, Va.- The Mayor of Suffolk announced Tuesday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Mayor Mike Duman announced on Facebook that he tested positive for COVID-19 last weekend. He says he is currently quarantining at home and will follow prescribed protocol. He says that he is not at work or engaging in any Suffolk affairs.
Duman says due to the positive test he will not be able to attend Wednesday's city council meeting. Vice Mayor Bennett will lead the meeting.
The mayor tells the community that his symptoms include a few aches and fatigue and reminds everyone to stay safe.
