Newport News Police Department accepting donations in October for survivors of domestic violence

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Newport News Police Department Domestic Violence Team is accepting donations for survivors of domestic violence.

Throughout the month of October, in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, donation boxes will be placed at ten different locations throughout the city.

At the end of the month, all of the donated items will be given to Transitions Family Violence Services to aid domestic violence survivors.
