NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Police are investigating after a person was found dead Friday.
Around 9:50 a.m., Newport News Police responded to a call for service in reference to a deceased person located near Heritage Way.
When they got to the scene police said they found 23-year-old Xavier Rashad Parker with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at 9:58 a.m.
At this time there is no suspect information available as police investigate.
