Newport News shooting leaves 19-year-old with serious injuries

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old seriously injured.

Around 9:34 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Randolph Road in reference to gunshots in the area.

Shortly after, officers were notified of a 19-year-old man who had been shot that arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle.

Police say his injury is believed to be life-threatening.
