PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Portsmouth Fire Department responded to a fire on Airline Boulevard Saturday morning.
According to firefighters, the call came in at 9:53 a.m. Crews responded to 606 Airline Boulevard, where they found light smoke coming from a second-floor apartment.
The fire was contained to the apartment, and was extinguished at 10:03 a.m.
No injuries were reported to citizens or fire department personnel, firefighters said. One person was displaced and will be assisted by the Red Cross.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Portsmouth Fire Marshal’s Office.
