No theater? No problem! Suffolk park to transform into drive-in theater on July 24 and 31

SUFFOLK, Va. - You've heard of Carpool Karaoke - now get ready for Carpool Cinema!

While movie theaters are still closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Suffolk's Bennett’s Creek Park will soon transform into an outdoor movie theater with a 40’ screen.

Stay safe and socially distanced in your car and enjoy movies with your family on Friday, July 24 and Friday, July 31. The park will open at 8 p.m. for parking, and space is limited.

These movies are free and open to the public.

No concessions will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own food and snacks to the park.

Below is the schedule for showings:

  • Friday, July 24 - "Jumanji: The Next Level" (2019), Rated PG-13.
  • *Friday, July 31 - "Incredibles 2" (2018), Rated PG.

The movies will start at approximately 8:30 p.m.

*The screening of "Incredibles 2" on July 31 has been canceled due to the threat of inclement weather. It will be postponed to a later date that has not yet been determined.

Pets are welcome and must be on a leash when outside of your vehicle. Attendees must practice social distancing at this event.
