Norfolk fire crews respond to early morning house fire

NORFOLK, Va. - Fire crews responded to a report of a house fire early Friday morning.

The fire happened in the 100 block of D View Avenue around Midnight.

Firefighters found smoke from the first floor of the two-story building and received reports of victims on the second floor.

Officials said there were two occupants from the apartment on the second floor who were assisted out of the home. They were then taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There were no injuries to fire personnel and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
