NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday afternoon.
Police say they responded to a shooting around 1:15 p.m., in the 9400 block of Hickory Street. 53-year-old Darrell W. Moorehouse was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
As a result of the investigation 19-year-old Brian M. Tharrington was arrested and charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm.
Detectives have not released the motive or circumstances surrounding this shooting.
Tharrington is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
