NORFOLK, Va. - A woman was found dead inside of a home Monday afternoon.
Around 4:25 p.m., police received a call and responded to the 500 block of E. Olney Road in the Young Terrace community.
When police arrived they found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. 26-year-old Jwanta Scarbor was pronounced dead at the scene.
Norfolk Police are currently investigating this homicide.
According to Norfolk officials, between November 1, 2021 – December 31, 2021, the Young Terrace community experienced six shooting incidents that resulted in 13 gunshot victims. Ten were non-fatal and three were fatal. From year to date, Young Terrace has experienced one fatal shooting.
