The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Sunday, there are now 8,830 cases, 451 people hospitalized and 299 coronavirus related deaths.
Due to an error with the test results, North Carolina's final case count for Saturday was 8,542. Sunday's numbers show 288 new cases and 10 additional deaths from Saturday.
A total of 107,894 people in North Carolina have now been tested.
