The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Thursday, there are now 48,188 cases, 857 people hospitalized and 1,175 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 1,333 new cases and 7 additional deaths from Wednesday.
A total of 693,678 people in North Carolina have now been tested.
Just last week, North Carolina saw a 5 day streak of 1,000 additional daily coronavirus cases. The state's cases continue to trend upwards.
