North Carolina coronavirus cases rise by 708, bringing total to 21,618; Phase Two to begin at 5 p.m. Friday

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state as it prepares to enter Phase Two at 5 p.m Friday.

As of Friday, there are now 21,618 cases, 568 people hospitalized and 728 coronavirus related deaths.

That is 708 new cases and 12 additional deaths from Thursday.

A total of 303,224 people in North Carolina have now been tested.

99 counties in North Carolina report having coronavirus cases.
