The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Sunday, there are now 72,983 cases, 949 people hospitalized and 1,396 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 1,329 new cases and 1 additional death from Saturday.
A total of 1,036,838 total coronavirus tests have been completed in North Carolina.
