The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Saturday, there are now 34,625 cases, 708 people hospitalized and 992 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 1,370 new cases and 6 additional deaths from Friday. According to the NCDHHS, this is the highest one-day number of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases.
A total of 497,350 people in North Carolina have now been tested.
