The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Saturday, there are now 143,706 cases, 1,032 people hospitalized and 2,343 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 1,536 new cases, 30 additional deaths and 17 less hospitalizations from Friday. Our local viewing area in North Carolina saw 53 new cases and zero deaths reported from Friday.
A total of 1,903,401 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
