North Carolina reports 1,954 new coronavirus cases; Northampton County sees highest local case rise of 63

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.

As of Saturday there are now 134,766 cases, 1,129 people hospitalized and 2,160 coronavirus related deaths.

That is 1,954 new cases, 6 hospitalizations and 26 additional deaths from Friday.

A total of 1,969,766 total coronavirus tests have been completed in North Carolina.

Locally, North Carolina saw 108 new cases and 1 death, with Northampton County seeing an increase of 63 cases in 24 hours.

  • Bertie County 269 cases, 5 deaths (+6 cases from Friday)
  • Camden County 69 cases, 2 deaths (+1 case from Friday)
  • Chowan County 155 cases, 1 death (+5 cases from Friday)
  • Currituck County 73 cases, 0 deaths (+1 case from Friday)
  • Dare County 209 cases, 2 deaths (+3 cases from Friday)
  • Gates County 45 cases, 2 deaths (-1 case from Friday)
  • Hertford County 334 cases, 11 deaths (+18 cases from Friday)
  • Northampton County 349 cases, 16 deaths (+63 cases from Friday)
  • Pasquotank County 395 cases, 20 deaths (+7 cases, +1 death from Friday)
  • Perquimans County 85 cases, 2 deaths (+5 cases from Friday)
