The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Thursday, there are now 692,010 PCR positive cases and 89,792 antigen positive cases, 2,630 people hospitalized and 9,728 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 5,495 new total cases and 150 additional deaths from Wednesday.
Hospitalizations in North Carolina also dipped Thursday as there were 76 fewer hospitalizations reported.
A total of 9,081,685 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
