North Carolina reports 674 additional coronavirus cases, 12 new deaths

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.

As of Monday, there are now 29,263 cases, 650 people hospitalized and 898 coronavirus related deaths.

That is 674 new cases and 12 additional deaths from Sunday. A total of 421,908 people in North Carolina have now been tested.

The office of North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced Sunday that the governor is encouraging all North Carolinians to honor June 1 as a Day of Mourning to grieve the 100,000 people in America - including those in North Carolina who have lost their lives to the coronavirus.

Gov. Cooper will order all state flags to be lowered to half-staff in memory of those who passed from COVID-19. Click hereto read more about the observance.
