The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Sunday, there are now 28,589 cases, 649 people hospitalized and 886 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 916 new cases and 9 additional deaths from Saturday.
A total of 416,289 people in North Carolina have now been tested.
99 counties in North Carolina report having coronavirus cases.
