North Carolina reports record single-day coronavirus death count of 45 deaths; state case total hits 117K

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 117,850 cases, 1,291 people hospitalized and 1,865 coronavirus related deaths.

That is 1,763 new cases and 45 additional deaths from Tuesday.

A total of 1,691,434 total coronavirus tests have been completed in North Carolina.

Here's the breakdown of confirmed cases in local areas:

  • Bertie County 222 cases, 4 deaths (+3 cases from Tuesday)
  • Camden County 53 cases, 2 deaths (+0 cases from Tuesday)
  • Chowan County 109 cases, 0 deaths (+3 cases from Tuesday)
  • Currituck County 69 cases, 0 deaths (+0 cases from Tuesday)
  • Dare County 186 cases, 1 death (+2 cases from Tuesday)
  • Gates County 37 cases, 2 deaths (+0 cases from Tuesday)
  • Hertford County 248 cases, 11 deaths (+7 cases from Tuesday)
  • Northampton County 267 cases, 16 deaths (+8 cases from Tuesday)
  • Pasquotank County 314 cases, 17 deaths (+3 cases from Tuesday)
  • Perquimans County 58 cases, 2 deaths (+1 case from Tuesday)
