One person dead, two people hospitalized after Suffolk crash

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to a fatal two vehicle crash Saturday.

Officials say the crash happened around 1:40 p.m., in the 4000 block of Godwin Boulevard.

According to police, 60-year-old Walter J. Sculthorpe was pronounced dead at the scene.

One person was taken to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries and another person was also taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

Police say the roads will be closed until the end of the investigation.
