JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. - James City County Police responded to a stabbing incident early Saturday morning that resulted in one person being flown to hospital.
Officials say around 1:30 a.m., police responded to the 190 block of Lakeside Drive in Historic Powhatan Resort.
Police found two men who were stabbed. A 22-year-old man from Hampton was stabbed multiple times and was flown to VCU Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries. Officials say a 21-year-old from York County, who suffered from minor injuries, refused treatment.
According to witnesses, a physical altercation began inside of one of the resort suites.
Police say at this time it appears to be one suspect, but the investigation remains ongoing.
