VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a woman severely injured Monday afternoon.
According to police, the crash happened at the PNC Bank located at 4860 Virginia Beach Boulevard around 1:16 p.m.
Police and Virginia Beach EMS personnel arrived on scene and found the woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had gone through the drive-thru lane of the bank when she opened the door of her vehicle to retrieve something that had been dropped. The vehicle then rolled forward, and the vehicle's door hit the building, pinning her in the car.
There is no further information.
