Pedestrian struck by car in Chesapeake, police investigating

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A pedestrian was left injured after being struck by a car in Chesapeake Saturday night.

According to the Chesapeake Police Department, the crash happened near the intersection of George Washington Highway and Camelot Boulevard at 10:38 p.m.

When officers arrived, the department's CRASH Team closed down a section of George Washington Highway between Camelot Boulevard and Gilmerton Road as part of its investigation. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with undetermined injuries, police said.

Police did not release the victim's identity or current condition.

The investigation is in the early stages, and there is no further information.
