FRANKLIN, Va. - Police are investigating after a person was shot multiple times in Franklin Tuesday night.
According to police, at 10:42 pm, dispatch received a shots fired call for an address in the Dorchester Square Apartments. When officers arrived on scene, they spoke to two residents that could only say they heard shots.
Later that evening, Southampton Memorial Hospital contacted police about a gunshot victim at the hospital's emergency room. Police responded and found the victim to be suffering from multiple non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital, and the investigation remains ongoing.
