Police arrest suspect in connection with stabbing at Virginia Beach Walgreens

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Police are investigating a stabbing that took place at a Walgreens location Saturday afternoon.

Police say a stabbing occurred at the Walgreens, located at Indian River and Kempsville Road.

Two people were taken to a local hospital with injuries. One person was stabbed and left with life-threatening injuries another person was assaulted.

VBPD says 26-year-old Chesapeake man Khalil Dashaun Fleet was stopped not far from the store and taken into custody in connection with the stabbing. According to police, Fleet has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and felonious assault.

Fleet is currently in the custody of the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office.
