HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police are asking for your help finding whoever is responsible for shooting a 23-year-old man in the 600 block of Homestead Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3:26 p.m., dispatchers received a call about a shooting that just happened in the area. When officers arrived on scene, they found the man, who had been shot.
He was taken to a local hospital with what were initially life-threatening injuries, but his injuries were later downgraded to non-life-threatening.
After a preliminary investigation, police say the victim was in front of a home when someone shot him.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation. There is no suspect information at this time.
