Joe Biden announced Sunday he is committed to picking a woman running mate if he is the Democratic presidential nominee, CBS News reports.
During Sunday's Democratic debate Biden says, "I commit that I will in fact pick a woman to be vice president."
CBS News reports Biden said during the debates that there are a number of woman who are qualified to be president.
Biden even announced via Twitter his commitment to choose a woman as Vice President.

Bernie Sanders says he was likely to pick a woman as well but did not commit, according to CBS News.
Previously, Biden said that if President he would appoint an African American woman to the Supreme Court for the first time.
