Portsmouth Detectives investigate shooting on Burtis Street

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Portmouth Detectives are investigating a Monday morning shooting that left one man injured.

Around 7:34 a.m., officials were notified of a 24-year-old man who had been shot in his lower body in the 20 block of Burtis street. Police say he was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.

According to police, there is no suspect information at this time.

Callers can also submit an anonymous tip through the Crime Line’s “P3 Tips” app. As always, Crime Line tipsters are never asked to give their name or required to testify in court.
