Portsmouth shooting leaves two women injured

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth Police are investigating a shooting that left two women injured Tuesday night.

Police say the call came in at 9:28 p.m. regarding the shooting in the 1900 block of Des Moines Avenue.

Both women were believed to have been shot, but once at the hospital it was determined that the 43-year-old woman sustained a puncture wound from broken glass. The 38-year-old woman suffered from several gunshot wounds.

Both woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, police say there are no suspects.
