PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth Police are investigating a death after a swimmer drowned Monday night.
According to police, a report was made for a swimmer in distress around 6:33 p.m., near the 1400 block of Carson Crescent West.
When officials arrived they found a man that appeared to have drowned. An investigation is ongoing and no further details have been released.
