PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead Sunday evening.
Police say the shooting happened around 5:42p.m., in the 1000 block of Cherokee Road.
According to police, one man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police were notified that a man suffering from a gunshot wound walked into Maryview Hospital nine minutes later, according to police.
Police say as of now the two incidents are not related.
