PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Portsmouth Police Department says a shooting incident that happened early Thursday morning appears to be accidental.
Officials said the incident took place near Bender Court.
Officers responded around 8:54 a.m. and found a 21-year-old man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The injured man has been transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation is still ongoing.
