Portsmouth Police found person of interest after man killed in shooting

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in the 600 block of Jefferson Street Monday evening.

Officers responded to the area for a report of a gunshot wound victim at 5:18 p.m.

Police tell News 3 they are investigating the man's death as a homicide.

On Thursday the victim was identified as Victor Green. Police said he was found inside a gray Infiniti, with a fatal gunshot wound.

News 3 sent a photographer to the scene. The shooting happened at the Southside Gardens apartment complex.

Police have identified a person of interest, 20-year-old Tyqwon Eric Wolfe, in the homicide. Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department Criminal Investigation Division have located and spoken to him already.
