Portsmouth Police looking for suspect in hit-and-run

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Portsmouth Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect vehicle connected to a hit and run accident that happened in the 3200 block of Victory Boulevard.

Officers responded to the incident around 5: 33 p.m., and learned that a pedestrian was in the street with a serious injury to the upper body, according to a news release.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene before police arrived, leaving behind the passenger side mirror .

The suspect vehicle is likely a 2009-2010 Ford F-150 with the passenger side missing an aftermarket mirror assembly.

Anyone who has information about this crime is urged to call the Portsmouth Police Department’s Strategic Crimes Unit at (757)393-8013 or to submit an anonymous tip through the Portsmouth Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers can also submit an anonymous tip through the Crime Line’s “P3 Tips” App. As always, Crime Line tipsters are never asked to give their name or required to testify in court. If a crime line caller’s tip leads to an arrest, the recovery of drugs or stolen property they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
