Riverside accepting medical supply donations amid coronavirus pandemic

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Riverside Regional Medical Center is accepting donations of medical supplies during the coronavirus pandemic.

Riverside says it is accepting donations on April 1 at 10 a.m. at their Williamsburg and Newport News locations near Entrance D in front of the Annex Conference Center. A staff member will come out of the hospital to collect donations.

Riverside says once you arrive, to please call 757-594-2044 to have a staff member come out to meet you.

Riverside is welcoming donations of medical supplies that are difficult to obtain if the items are new and in unopened boxes.

Donations accepted include:

  • N95 respirator masks
  • PAPR (powered air purifying respirators) and PAPR hoods
  • Surgical masks
  • Disposable gloves (all sizes), latex-free
  • Disposable surgical caps
  • Disposable foot covers
  • Protective eyewear
  • Nasal testing swaps
  • Viral testing kits
  • Face guards and face shields
  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Industrial cleaning wipes
  • Touchless thermometers

Donations of homemade masks should be packaged in sealed Ziploc bags with the number of enclosed items labeled clearly on the outside of the sealed bag.

At this time Riverside is not accepting 3-D printed materials, medications, homemade food or blankets.
