NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Police were asking people to stay away from an area on campus.
They said officials were investigating a potential safety risk on Monarch Way.
Officers were asking people to stay out of the area of the 4100 block of Monarch Way for a reported HazMat incident. Employees from the Raising Canes restaurant smelled an odor and immediately contacted officials.
Around 10:30 a.m., everything was deemed safe, according to officials.
