The Virginia State Police has canceled a Senior Alert after the Amelia County Sheriff's Office safely found a 79-year-old woman who was missing from her Amelia residence.
Mary Scott Baker was last seen at 5 p.m. Saturday at her home on South Amelia Avenue. Police believed she walked away from her residence on foot.
Baker is a white woman standing 5 feet 2 inches and weighing 170 pounds, with blue eyes and grayish blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
Baker suffers from a cognitive impairment and the disappearance posed a credible threat to her health and safety, police said.
