NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Newport News Police Department responded to a seven-vehicle crash at the intersection of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard and Diligence Drive Friday afternoon.
According to the department, the crash occurred at 2:15 p.m.
Police said the crash appears to have occurred due to the vehicle at the rear striking the vehicle in front of it, causing a chain reaction.
Several people were taken to a local hospital, but officers said no life-threatening injuries were reported.
Charges may be pending.
