YORK Co., Va. - The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found behind the Tabb Library Monday afternoon.
In a video posted to the sheriff's office's Facebook page, Capt. West announced that the office received a call of a suspicious incident in the area of 100 block of Long Green Boulevard.
Deputies responded to the area and found the body in the wooded area behind the library.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Capt. West is asking that anyone who has information or who has seen anything suspicious over the last couple of days in either the parking lot of the YMCA or the library parking lot to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887) or the sheriff's office at 757-890-3621 and reference case #2001288.
