CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A short police pursuit ended in a crash Monday morning.
Virginia State Police said the crash happened eastbound on I-64.
The attempt to stop the juvenile female driver was for speed and registration of the vehicle. Police said the registration came back to another vehicle.
The driver refused to stop and continued to speed before crashing prior to the High Rise Bridge, VSP said.
The female was taken into custody and suffered minor injuries.
As of 8:45 a.m., some troopers were still at the scene.
