SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Parks & Recreation announced changes to athletic programs and parks in order to comply with local health officials regarding the potential spread of the coronavirus.
The following changes have been made:
- All outdoor basketball courts will be closed effective immediately.
- All Spring sports (youth outdoor soccer, teeball, adult softball, adult basketball) are canceled. Staff will be contacting all customers that are currently registered. All participants will be issued a full refund.
- Cypress Park Pool opening will be delayed until Saturday, June 13th, unless other Orders are in place.
- Adult and youth tennis lessons (beginner and intermediate) will be postponed until after June 10th, unless other orders are in place.
