Suffolk Police investigate shooting inside occupied home

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting into an occupied dwelling incident that happened late Thursday night in the 2000 block of Freeney Avenue.

Emergency Communications was notified of the incident at 9:40 p.m.

Officers arrived on the scene and learned that the two adults were home at the time of the incident.

No injuries were reported.

Suffolk Police told News 3 this is the third shooting into an occupied home so far this year. In 2021, 64 shootings into occupied dwellings were reported.

This investigation is ongoing.
