Suffolk Police arrest man allegedly connected in shooting that damaged vehicle, home

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police have arrested a man allegedly involved in a shooting that took place August 20.

Officials say the shooting occurred around 3:20 p.m., in the area of the 500 block of South Main Street.

According to the investigation, the windshield of a vehicle was damaged by gunfire and a home in the 100 block of Kilby Avenue.

No injuries were reported.

Suffolk Police have identified and arrested a suspect, 19-year-old Deandre Malik Wilson, for his alleged involvement with the shooting.

Wilson was arrested on October 2, on charges including Use of Firearm in Commission of Felony; Discharge Firearm or Missile at a Residence; Discharge a Weapon in or Across a Roadway; Reckless Handling of a Firearm; Attempt to Commit a Non-Capital Offense.

He is currently in custody at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail. Mug shot attached.

The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are pending.
