Suffolk Public Works truck damaged in fire

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Fire & Rescue crews are responding to a vehicle fire involving a City of Suffolk Public Works refuse truck.

Officials say the incident happened around 12:48 p.m., in the 300 block of Kingsboro Street in the Kingsboro Heights neighborhood.

The truck obtained extensive damages from fire, but there were no injuries, according to Battalion Chief Chuck Knight.

Suffolk Police are on the scene conducting traffic.

Officials say they are still investigating.
